Led by Principal Lawyer Will Barsby, a recognised authority in Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance claims, Workers' Compensation and Superannuation Claims Handling.
Will has worked extensively with legislative frameworks governing workers’ compensation, compulsory third party insurance, disability insurance, and superannuation‑related claims, and has a detailed understanding of how policy intent, regulatory processes, and legal risk intersect in practice.
Prior to establishing Barsby Law, Will held senior executive leadership roles within the insurance sector, including as a divisional executive at EML Group, where he led the Life and Casualty division on a national basis. In that role, he was responsible for the oversight and strategic management of large‑scale portfolios including workers’ compensation tail claims, superannuation claims handling, compulsory third party insurance portfolios, and accident and health policies. This role required direct engagement with regulators, government stakeholders, legal advisors, and insurers, and provided first-hand experience in balancing statutory compliance, litigation risk, and commercial realities.
